Pre-Light Draw: Spices and a slight savory note I can’t identify

Light Up: pepper and citrus

Burn Line: is absolutely perfect

1st 1/3: light pepper and a nice toasted note linger

2nd 1/3: slightly bitter leather note has joined the party

Final 1/3: creamy ans surprisingly the pepper has almost completely gone. More citrus and a little bit of vanilla

Crown royal northern harvest rye

90% Rye Mashbill 45% ABV

Nose; Spearmint and clove

Palate: Spearmint, oak, vanilla

Nose after light up: More sweerness comes to the forefront

Palate with cigar: Vanilla has come to the front now, with spearmint taking a backseat.

This has been a pretty nice pairing. The cigar was absolutely fantastic and it paired nicely with the whiskey. For a Canadian whiskey it’s really enjoyable i typically don’t love this type of whiskey but at 90 proof the flavour is more pronounced than normal. This is definitely a whiskey to pick up if you are new to the game and want something with a little more flavour but still pretty mild. Review by Matthew @vitola_and_proof
